1zu1 becomes 1zu1scale – the next step on our journey to becoming a series production partner for small and precise plastic components.
Yesterday, the new 1zu1scale brand was presented on the first day of the Swiss Plastics Expo in Lucerne. At a small stand party, the brand launch was very well received by employees, customers, and competitors.
What is behind 1zu1scale?
Whether 1, 100, or 100,000 plastic components: we have been combining quality and functionality for 30 years. What once began with resilient prototypes and ready-to-use pre-series is now ready for series production—thanks in part to our customers' trust in our capabilities and service.
A pioneering spirit shapes our daily work: as a pioneer in industrial 3D printing and a pilot partner for machine manufacturers, we are actively involved in developing technologies. Our progress is also reflected in the numbers: over the last ten years, we have increased the number of components manufactured tenfold.
With the largest and most modern 3D printing facilities, in-house aluminum and steel toolmaking, and a high-performance injection molding machine park, we are setting new standards in series production.
The SCALE Process – from Final Prototype to Market Launch
The SCALE process describes the entire product development process through to market launch. Our goal: to contribute our expertise to the customer's final prototype and bring the project to market quickly, safely, and, if necessary, under defined conditions.
This enables customers to transfer their products directly from the prototype phase to scalable series production—from hand samples to millions of units. With professional consulting, technological diversity, clean rooms, and EN ISO 13485 certification, we support time- and cost-efficient market launch. Of course, we continue to deliver first-class prototypes and pilot series whenever they are needed.
